How To Download YouTube Video & Convert It To AVI or WMV To Be Used In The Windows Movie Maker

Ever wanted to know how to download YouTube video to your PC and then edit it within Windows Movie Player. Video files that exist on YouTube are in FLV or Flash format. You cannot edit FLV video files in the Windows Movie Maker; you must first convert these FLV files into a format recognized by the Windows Movie Maker such as asf, avi, wmv, mpeg, m1v, and mp2. I recommend converting the FLV files into either avi or wmv to be later manipulated in The Windows Movie Player. You will need two tools to accomplish the task:

Converting DVD Movies to AVI Using Vidomi

Here is another FREE solution to convert DVD movies to AVI, XVID, or DIVX file formats.

Use DVD Decrypter and Vidomi. Here is the process:

  1. Install DVD Decrypter
  2. Install Vidomi
  3. Rip DVD movie with DVD Decrypter
  4. Convert to AVI, XVID, or DIVX using Vidomi
