Our Review
We downloaded, installed,
and tested CloneDVD
Mobile to run on two test computers. One
computer was "Home-Brewed" with an Athlon AMD 64 X2 4800 Dual-Core
processor running at 2.4GHz, 1GB of memory, 100GB hard drive, and a
Sony DRU-510A DVD/RW drive 32X (CD) and 12X (DVD). The other computer,
a Gateway E06500D, with an Intel Pentium(R) running at 3GHz, 1GB of
memory, 100GB hard drive, and a Plextor PX-708A DVD/RW drive (40X (CD)
and 12X (DVD).
Installation and Test
Results
The installation was
flawless on both test computers. The original DVD movie to be
converted was "The Count of Monte Cristo" (2002), a Dual-Layered DVD-9
movie starring Jim Caviezel The movie runtime was
131 minutes.
We have found that
CloneDVD
Mobile
is an easy-to-use and fast DVD to iPod converter software for Apple
iPod Video devices. It can convert almost any kinds of DVD to iPod
video format. Upon launching the program it asked us "what we wanted
to convert our DVD to?" DivX, 3GP, WMVv, Blackberry, Archos, iPod,
Zune, Playstation, etc.

Once we inserted our Dual-Layered DVD 9
Movie, we navigated to our DVD movie and
CloneDVD
Mobile immediately began to preview the movie.

Next, we selected our preferred audio and
subtitle settings.

resolution settings and clicked the Go button to begin the conversion
process.

During the entire conversion process,
CloneDVD
Mobile presented us with "progress" information.

Dual-Layered Movie with a runtime of 131 minutes was 1 hour 10 Minutes
and 34 seconds. Not bad!
